GADI – Pet Rescue Association

GADI Pet rescue association

After years of voluntary work in the field of animal rescue, we founded the Association. Thanks to our national and international network, we have been succeeding in our mission. Not only do we rescue endangered and abandoned animals, but take up the responsibility to find new homes for those animals whose families can no longer provide shelter for.

The GADI Association rescues dogs and cats across Sicily and seeks adoptive families in Italy, Switzerland and Germany.

Become a foster family

Becoming a foster family for dogs can be a rewarding and meaningful experience for both the animals and the humans involved. Here are some reasons why:

  1. Help animals in need: Foster families provide a temporary home for dogs who may have been abandoned, surrendered, or rescued from abusive situations. By opening up your home to these animals, you are giving them a safe and comfortable environment to live in while they wait for their forever homes.
  2. Save lives: By fostering, you are helping to alleviate overcrowding in animal shelters and rescues, which can be a matter of life or death for some animals. By providing a temporary home for these animals, you are giving them a better chance at finding a permanent home and avoiding euthanasia.
  3. Learn more about animal behavior: Fostering can give you the opportunity to learn more about animal behavior, especially if you are interested in adopting a pet in the future. By observing and interacting with cats and dogs in a home environment, you can learn about their personalities, likes and dislikes, and how they interact with other animals and people.
  4. Improve socialization skills: Fostering can be a great way to socialize cats and dogs who may have had limited interaction with people or other animals in the past. By helping them become more comfortable around others, you are increasing their chances of finding a permanent home.
  5. Make a difference in our community: By fostering, you are not only helping individual animals but also contributing to the overall welfare of your community. By reducing the number of homeless animals and providing them with care and attention, you are making a positive impact on the lives of both animals and people.

Becoming a foster family for cats and dogs can be a wonderful way to help animals in need, save lives, learn more about animal behavior, improve socialization skills, and make a difference in your community.
